Making the Most of Three Sample Papers for OCR Geography B
With only three resources, treat each paper as a diagnostic test. Work through one under timed conditions, mark it using the mark scheme, then identify your weakest topics. Use these gaps to focus your revision on the full specification content before revisiting the paper to check improvement.
These sample papers reveal the question style OCR uses — particularly the 8-mark 'assess' questions and the decision-making exercise in Paper 3. Understanding the command words and mark allocation early in your revision means you can practise the right skills from the start.
For the Geographical Exploration paper, the key skill is synthesising information from multiple resources under time pressure. Practise reading resource booklets quickly, identifying key data points, and structuring your arguments before writing.
